From the Artistic Directors...
A deeply satisfying moment for any young organization is a tangible sign that it has
turned a corner on the difficult path to becoming established. Thanks to the tireless
efforts and dedication of many people within our organization and to generous support
from an ever-increasing pool of friends and fans, LBCS — now in its 4th season —
is recognized as a troupe that delivers unique programming in the greater D.C. area. The
Washington Post reviewers consistently noted the Societys artistic contributions
throughout this past season, culminating with head critic Tim Pages generous, above
the fold review of our final concert. Our biggest news: in July, the
John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, our first Left Bank home, chose LBCS to
become one of its official Artist Constituent groups performing in the Terrace Theater.
When we needed it most, we have been blessed by unwavering support from another significant
venue in our area, the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center, where we perform in the Gildenhorn
Recital Hall. This continuing generosity is an essential component in our ability to assemble
a roster of adventurous and versatile performers playing repertoire that we guarantee you will
enjoy, but that you may not yet have heard.
Our exciting 4th season offers opportunities for discovery, insight, and enrichment to
audience and performers alike. As always, we eagerly anticipate your post-concert conversation.

Mission Statement
The Left Bank Concert Society celebrates the essential beauty of great chamber
music with an emphasis on significant new works in concerts designed to both engage
and inform. Scrupulously prepared programs reveal worldwide historical connections

music of the past.
Corporate Information
